My wonderful, highly-motivated husband will be running in the first-annual Pasadena Marathon tomorrow! He ran the Denver marathon about a month ago in under 3 hours 45 minutes. I was lucky enough to be there to support him before, during, and after the race. There's a huge part of me that wishes I was in Pasadena to cheer him on but, unfortunately, I can't be. His supportive parents, Bonnie and Rick, will be taking on that duty instead.
One of the things I love most about Jeff is his incredible dedication. Once he sets his mind on something, he sees it through.
To be honest, though, I really can't understand why Jeff would want to run 26 miles when nothing is chasing him. But, I understand that it's something he has wanted to do for a very long time and he has worked so hard at it. He has trained tirelessly, even while working 16-19 hour days during the week and on weekends. I figure I don't have to understand why he wants to do a marathon to be very, very proud of him.
